Privacy Policy — Wireman
Wireman is an electrician's calculator and NEC reference app published by Caglar Bozkurt. It was built to need as little of your data as possible: there is no account, no ads, and no cross-app tracking, and we never ask for your name, email, or any personal profile. The app does collect anonymous, aggregate usage analytics so we can see what to improve — you can turn this off in the app. This policy explains the limited data involved and the rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Caglar Bozkurt, a sole trader based in Germany. For any privacy question or request, contact caglarbozkurt@outlook.com. Full postal contact is shown on the app's App Store listing under EU trader information.
2. Data stored only on your device
Everything you do in the app — the values you enter, your recent calculators, the selected NEC edition, your trade, and whether you've unlocked Pro — is saved locally on your device, in the app's own storage. It is not sent to us, and it is removed when you delete the app.
3. Data the app and its providers collect
Usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and where to improve it, Wireman collects anonymous, aggregate usage analytics through Google Analytics (GA4). This is first-party analytics only — no ads, no advertising identifier (IDFA), and no tracking of you across other apps or websites.

This data is not linked to your name or any account, and is not used for advertising. You can turn analytics off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage analytics.
The Pro purchase
Wireman is free to start. If you buy the one-time Wireman Pro upgrade, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we run no purchase server of our own.

We do not receive your name, card, or contact details. This purchase information is managed by Apple under your Apple Account.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)
- Consent — for anonymous usage analytics. You can withdraw it at any time via Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage analytics.
- Performance of a contract — to process and restore the Pro purchase you asked for.
- Legitimate interests — to prevent fraud and abuse of the purchase system, and to meet tax obligations, balanced against your privacy.
Because the app shows no ads and does no cross-app tracking, no advertising consent is required.
5. Third-party services
These providers process the data described above under their own privacy policies:
- Google (Google Analytics) — anonymous usage analytics — Google Privacy Policy; how Analytics safeguards data.
- Apple — payment, App Store delivery, and restoring your purchase across devices — Apple Privacy Policy.
6. Your choices and rights
Everyone
- Turn off analytics: Settings → Privacy → Anonymous usage analytics.
- Erase on-device data: delete the app — it removes all local data.
- Manage or refund a purchase: through your Apple account's purchase and subscription settings.
EEA / UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, email us; because we hold no account or profile of our own, your purchase record is managed by Apple under your Apple Account and through your Apple purchase settings.
California / U.S. states (CCPA/CPRA and similar)
You have the right to know what personal information is collected and to delete it. We do not sell or “share” your personal information, and the app does no cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. International data transfers
Google and Apple may process the data described above on servers in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the EEA/UK, they rely on legal transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete the app. Analytics data held by Google is retained per Google Analytics' retention settings (we use a limited retention window). Purchase records held by Apple are retained per Apple's own policies and as required for tax and accounting; we do not keep a separate copy tied to your identity.
9. Children
Wireman is a professional tool for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
